Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare

Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare

Following the death of her aunt, our main character Theresa (Tessa) Gray arrives at London to meet her brother only to then be intercepted by a pair of sisters and enslaved to do what they say.

Eventually being saved by William (Will) Herondale, Tessa is thrust headfirst into the world of shadowhunters to help them defeat the mysterious threat who goes by The Magister, and finally find her place in the world.

This tale of adventure, betrayal, love, and loss keeps you hooked and unable to look away from the first page.

I loved how they showed Tessa’s inner struggle with her humanity, as well as how she was a strong female protagonist without overpowering the rest of the story.

This the first novel I read by Cassandra Clare and I was pleasantly surprised by just how easy it was to just swift through her writing.

With intriguing and complex characters, good worldbuilding, and cleverly broken stereotypes, this book is amazing for those that want to get into fantasy, and are unsure on where to start.
